Skutt GM1414 Oval Kiln w/Factory Installed Lid Lifter

A spring assisted lid lifter is now available on the GM1414 Oval kiln. The lid braces have been redesigned with a unique cam system to prevent catching. The 3 position lid prop has 2 venting positions and a lock position. The spring assist not only helps to lift the extremely heavy GM1414 lid, it also puts less stress on the lid so it will last longer.

The GM-1414 with its 41" x 24.5" oval shape is perfect for the glass artist who wishes to work with large panels or to have the capability of fusing multiple pieces. The deep 13.5" (353mm) chamber also allows for taller than average slump molds. Current Sensing - Every GlassMaster Skutt Kiln is now equipped with a current sensor that allows remote technicians to troubleshoot your kiln right over the phone, The current sensor reads your voltage and amperage with just a few easy keystrokes accessed from the completely redesigned Menu function key. It can also check the board temperature, LED readout and a host of other useful troubleshooting data.

New Safety Features – Ever worry about a student or employee entering the wrong temperature and causing a meltdown in your kiln? You can now enter a maximum programmable temperature which makes it impossible. You can also program the kiln so it requires 2 key presses to start the program.
